The Workspace Portal is an online workspace that makes it easy to work by focusing on what your employees need to perform their jobs. From a single digital starting point, employees have the required access to all the applications, data and relevant information they need, regardless of the device they are working on.

The rise of Office 365 and business applications moving to ‘Software as a Service’ (SaaS) models have created the need for a different type of workplace than hosted workplaces, such as Server Based Computing (SBC) and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). In that case a portal-based workspace is the solution.

A workspace portal makes it possible for employees to simply and securely use a digital starting point to access local, SaaS and legacy Windows applications. This will also give the organization the possibility to continue their transition to the cloud in the background.

• Lower Disaster Recovery DR environment costs. Desktop computer resources will only be used in case of disaster. Consequently, the monthly DR environment cost decreases without upfront capital investment.

• Most organizations still have legacy applications that are critical to their business but can no longer be updated. Desktop as a Service (DaaS) offers you the freedom to keep maintaining these applications and makes them accessible from any device.

• Users might require occasional access to GPU-enabled desktops to support high-end graphics applications. Resources are paid per hour to keep the cost down.
